Commodore (Cdre) Errington Shurland
Commodore (Cdre) Errington Ricardo Shurland was appointed Executive Director of the Regional Security System by the Council of Ministers on 1 February 2017. He also serves as the Chief of Staff of the Barbados Defence Force and comes to the position with over thirty-four years (34) of military service. During his career in the military Cdre Shurland served in several operational and administrative posts. He has also served as Barbados’ alternate representative at the Organisation of American States and Chief of Delegation at the Inter American Defence Board.
Mr Graham Archer
Deputy Executive Director
Mr. Archer is a retired career police officer who joined staff of the Regional Security System (RSS) in March 2013 in the position of Manager, International Affairs and Corporate Services. He was appointed to the position of Deputy Executive Director in October 2016.
Lieutenant Commander Brian W. Roberts
Director of Training
Lieutenant Commander Brian Roberts joined the RSS HQ in 2012 as the Regional Maritime Officer, after twenty-eight (28) years of military service in the Barbados Defence Force. His military career provided him with the opportunity to serve in several command and administrative appointments, both in the Land Forces and the Barbados Coast Guard.
Mr. Grenville Williams
Mr. Grenville T. Williams serves as Director, Asset Recovery Unit (ARU) of the Regional Security System (RSS) – a role which encompasses capacity building, legal and regulatory strengthening and enforcement in countering serious organized crimes and money laundering across the Eastern Caribbean. He first joined the ARU as Regional Financial Investigations Advisor.
Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Forde
Director of Operations & Plans
Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Forde is a Barbadian born career military officer who served with the Barbados Defence Force (BDF) for twenty-five years.
He joined the Barbados Defence Force in 1985 and later received his initial Officer training at the British Commando Training Centre Royal Marines at Lympstone in the United Kingdom in 1988.
Major Kerry Waterman
Director of Policing and Risk Management
Major Kerry Waterman joined the RSS in September 2019 as Director of Policing and Risk Management.
In 2002, Major Waterman emigrated to the United Kingdom where he gained a place at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS).
